Vandalism exists on the homepage in the first paragraph still. Should this page be considered for a complete block for the time being? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wiki user716 (talkcontribs) 22:58, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Last of vandalism made before page was semi-protected has been cleaned up. Page needs to remain protected time being. StrayKat99 (talk) 23:38, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Request for Deletion?[edit]

This is deletable page, if ever I saw one!

Aw, come on! I GO to Kenston. Don't diss it!

Because it is on the list of high schools in Ohio, it should not be deleted. It could use some expansion, though. Fisheromen 22:36, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Sputnik link must be added. It is the best thing to happen to this school ever Zmev (talk) 07:10, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction[edit]

Kenston High School is located in Bainbridge Township, Ohio. The school district serves the residents of Bainbridge Township and Auburn Township. As of 2006 it has about 1000 students. Beginning with the 2006-2007 school year and due to the growing student population, the high school will be moving to a newly built school. The middle school will be moving into the former high school.

The Kenston schools were named the third best school system in northeast Ohio in 2005.

Kenston's nickname is "The Bombers". The mascot is a B-52 Bomber airplane. Recently Kenston moved from the Western Reserve Conference to the Chagrin Valley Conference.

The Kenston High School website has received multiple awards in the past for excellence and enjoys a record breaking number of hits.

Ohio High School Athletic Association State Championships[edit]

Kenston Football did not win a state championship in 1996. The team was state runner-up in both 1986 and 1995. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rob Page III (talkcontribs) 02:12, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Athletics[edit]

Very few high school athletic programs have coverage required for a separate article, especially a school the size of Kenstion. As such, I redirected the Kenston High School Athletics article to Kenston High School#Athletics. The athletics section here is by no means too big or in need of a separate "daughter" or WP:SPINOFF article, and can reasonably be expanded with appropriate info. Bear in mind that season-by-season statistics and other finer details about non-notable coaches, players, and games are generally not appropriate for a school article. The point of the athletics section is to give readers a thorough but general idea of the athletic program at the school and how it fits in to the culture and history of the school. Most of the excessive details fall under WP:FANCRUFT. --JonRidinger (talk) 21:08, 17 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I would argue against using File:Airplane-trans.png in the article. It, in the size it must be used at to be allowed as fair use, is not sufficiently identifying of the article. It seems to be a reworking of a Wikipedia Commons file of a B-25 and that is fine. However it would need to be re released under CC BY-SA 3.0. Even for a released file, there are still esthetic reasons for a small size in the infobox, and I don't see any encyclopedic value in using it at a larger size anywhere else.
