Would it not be useful to add the correct pronunciation of Kesteven to the article? I don't know what it is: it could be IPA: [kɛˈstɛvən] or IPA: [kəˈstivən]. — Gareth Hughes 19:51, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure that even the residents of Lincolnshire can agree on what it is: IPA: [kəˡstiːvən] wins out slightly over IPA: [ˡkɛstəvən] in terms of frequency, but some people insist on the latter. I say give both as alternatives -- though undoubtedly someone will say that only one is correct and the other a diabolical perversion. --TheVenerableBede 12:57, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

(sorry had some problems there with IPA symbols!)--TheVenerableBede 12:59, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced tags[edit]

Whilst the article is not structured with in-line references, I don't think the 'unreferenced' tag is fair: each heading is an act of parliament. The text itself is it's own reference!

A high proportion of the words in the lists are wikiwords. It is difficult to challenge the authenticity of any of the statements in the article.--Brunnian (talk) 10:12, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Bourne[edit]

This article states that Bourne had its own UDC till 1920 - the article on Bourne says that it lasted until the LGA 1972 took effect in 1974. Can this discrepancy be accurately resolved?Ntmr (talk) 16:33, 19 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
