References cleanup
I cleaned up the reference templates, etc. per WP:CITEVAR, WP:PLRT and WP:CITESTYLE, etc. Also, made all of the "accessdate" and "date" parameters consistent per WP:STRONGNAT and MOS:DATEUNIFY - Marchjuly (talk) 21:58, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
"Recent death" template
Should the article be tagged with a Template:Recent death? Metheny is not really a uber-famous person ala Michael Jackson, etc. but the article has been edited quite a bit since he died. Mostly it appears to be edits by experience editors who understand how Wikipedia works, but it's possible, given Metheny's association with Howard Stern, then some of Stern's fans might gravitate to the page and try to add "improvements". The template won't stop them from doing so of course, but it might alert other editors watching such pages to keep a watch on this page as well. - Marchjuly (talk) 00:27, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
- No. Template:Recent death/doc makes it quite clear this template is only to be used when many, perhaps hundreds, of editors are likely to be editing simultaneously (and even then only briefly), and not on an article just because the subject has recently died. - Thanks Dwpaul for the feedback. I wasn't advocating it simply because he just died, but just because I wasn't sure if this article would generate enough activity to hit the "dozens or more" referred to in the template's documentation, but that's a bit presumptuous on my part. As long as people are watching the page, then it should be fine no matter how much activity it generates. Thanks again.
