Issue[edit]

I don't think the comparisons to MS Powerpoint are completely neutral. Any thoughts? Gs83 00:26, 24 January 2006 (UTC) The main problem with this article is that it compares an old version of keynote with an even older version of powerpoint. Powerpoint 2008 and Keynote 4 have been out for a while at this writing. And what about Google Presentation and Impress? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.79.199.124 (talk) 00:38, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I fixed a possible POV contention. In the future, discuss the article on the talk page with other users BEFORE marking it as a POV, okay? --TangentIdea 04:10, 24 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Possible copyvio?[edit]

The descriptions in the version history appear to have been copied directly from Apple's release notes. If so, this is a copyright violation. Can someone confirm this who has access to the original information? -- Steven Fisher

An Inconvenient Truth[edit]

Is this section really needed? It seems out of place.--roger6106 15:25, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. Perhaps a "trivia and popular culture," something like that section should be added. ~~
I also agree. It's completely irrelevant. Edward assumed I was experimenting when I removed it; should've checked here. Anyways, another vote from me.--Jeff Wheeler 16:35, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
What I guess I'm trying to say is that it is notable that a Keynote presentation has been made into a film. As far as I know this have never happened to a Powerpoint presentation. Edward 08:18, 13 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
New version sounds great. Jeff Wheeler 00:59, 14 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Powerpoint[edit]

It would be helpful to know more about how this differs from Powerpoint.--roger6106 15:26, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RFD[edit]

This page does not meet criteria for a speedy delete under 11 or 12 of the guidelines. I believe there are more appropriate tags. Nja247 (talkcontribs) 17:29, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merge[edit]

There's a new article Keynote Remote, which I think would fit in nicely with this existing article. This iPhone app is not notable enough for its own article. No? Nja247 (talkcontribs) 07:22, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think Keynote Remote needs its own section in this article (as it now redirects here). Photographerguy (talk) 00:12, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Inappropriate Advertising[edit]

How is a link to products that make Keynote better, inappropriate advertising?

You allow the promotion of the "remote" application for iPhone and Touch, sold by Apple for 99 cents.

How is that any different than letting people know through "External Links" that there are other great things out there to make their presentation lives easier. I can't see any difference other than your being in awe of Apple and treating others like garbage. But maybe someone can explain it.

I think you people should recognize you are here for information and the use of a little discretion in HELPING people is a good thing instead of looking for something that breaks a rule a little bit and pouncing. What are you communists? Having people interested in Keynote being made aware of KeynoteThemePark.com is a good thing. Or you better strip out any and all helpful Keynote products out of the article. Including those made by Apple. You even include a link to go and buy it. THAT is advertising, and by your definition inappropriate. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.152.157.47 (talk) 18:48, 26 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
