Relevance of a brief explanation of the Combatant Status Review Tribunals?[edit]

This article contained two brief paragraphs of explanation of the Combatant Status Review Tribunals. I started adding the brief explanation based on feedback I got from readers. I agree with them that a brief explanation is appropriate and makes the articles more accessible to readers who aren't familiar with the details of how Guantanamo is run.

Another wikipedian removed it today, with the explanation that it was "irrelevant". But I believe they are mistaken. Further, I am going to suggest to them that this may be an instance when they are misreading WP:BOLD. -- Geo Swan 20:45, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

removal of valid and useful wikilinks[edit]

This article is one of a series that had a number of valid and useful wikilinks removed with an edit summary "unlink interpretation of questionable source". I don't think this is a sufficient explanation, and I don't think this removal of wikilinks was a good idea.

I think the wikilinks should be restored to this article and the other articles. Geo Swan (talk) 09:30, 10 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Already explained and under discussion here and in a related discussion here. I have told you that and i have ask you multiple times in a friendly way to continue the discussions and to answer my questions. here and here and on other places. I think your behavior is disruptive. I would appreciate if you could answer the questions and continue started discussions. Thank you. IQinn (talk) 04:55, 11 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Responsible use of tags[edit]

User:DBigXray took an interest in Guantanamo articles in August 2012 -- including this one. DBigXray applied hundreds of poorly explained or unexplained editorial tags, as they did here. There was a huge discussion at ANI over DBig's activities. During the middle of this discussion DBig stopped participating on the wikipedia -- at least under that ID.

So it would be pointless to ask them to come back and explain the tags they applied here.

I am going to wait a reasonable period of time, and if no one else explains these tags, I am going to remove them. Geo Swan (talk) 14:31, 28 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please fis the problems i have called out before removing tags. --DBigXray 14:07, 12 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
