Who is the heir apparent for Sharjah now?[edit]

Who is the heir apparent for Sharjah now? Or how does that work? I'm asking because of List of heirs apparent#United Arab Emirates, where I removed Khalid and his brother. -- Softlavender (talk) 05:51, 6 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Confusingly, he has almost the same name as the Ruler, the current Crown Prince of Sharjah is Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi. As far as I can see, he has no WP page but Google mistakenly links him to Dr Sheikh Sultan, the Ruler. He was actually Crown Prince before Khalid passed away. According to the multiple citations, Khalid was the Crown Prince from the date of his elder (half-)brother's death until his own death. Can you provide reliable citations regarding the current heir apparent? Softlavender (talk) 09:32, 7 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Edited to add: The citations saying Khalid was Crown Prince are probably inaccurate and written by clueless Westerners. It's doubtful that a well-established fashion designer in London would leave that to govern Sharjah. Softlavender (talk) 09:50, 7 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The Crown Prince, Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi is the Ruler's cousin. Sheikh Sultan is also Deputy Ruler of Sharjah. So there. Best Alexandermcnabb (talk) 15:43, 8 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, Alexandermcnabb. Do you have a citation for that? I'll look for one as well, but I thought you might have one at your fingertips. Softlavender (talk) 02:25, 17 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Edited to add: Never mind, I found one: [1]. -- Softlavender (talk) 02:43, 17 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
