Naga kingdom[edit]

The Northern part of the Indian-Ocean's Island throve during the Naga Kingdom from 6th century BC to the middle of the 3rd
century AD. Naga people were of the Tibeto-Burman origin, a Mongoloid race and migrated to India 4000 BC, driven by some
political disturbances from Central Asia through the North Eastern frontier of the Himalayan mountain range.

I would not say that the Nagas of Nagaland NE India, and the ancient Naga kingdom of Northern Lanka are the same group. If the Mon-Khmer of Nagaland Northeast India were in Northern Lanka, we would see that in the peoples features and language.

Let me say, When the Nagas came from India due to political crises, nobody was there, or did Nagas bild the civilization first? whay bout Yalpaam Nagsa? are they came from same??

The issue of the Nagas (mostly legend) is irrelevant to a write up about Killinochchi. There is no reference connecting Killinochchi to the Naga legends either in literary sources (Pali, Sanskrit or Chankam), or in inscriptions, potsherds or elsewhere. So, even if the Naga legends can have some basis, there is nothing to connect with Killinochchi. On the other hand, archaeological excavations have found buddhist ruins dated to the 1st century CE or before.Bodhi dhana 03:47, 29 September 2007 (UTC)Bodhi_dhana[reply]

Nagas of North India and Nagas of Srilanka and Tamil Nadu are totally diffrent type of people. Former is Mongoloid origin and Latter is Dravidian race. Nagas of Srilanka and Tamil Nadu are Merchant and Farmer class of people. Nagars are later formed as Chetties in India. Nagas are Dravidian race who worshipped Snakes as symbolizing the Lord Shiva and as well as they are Urban dwellers.

Copyright cleanup[edit]

Today, this article was edited to remove contributions by a contributor currently indefinitely blocked for multiple copyright infringements. The text removed may infringe the copyright of external sources or of Wikipedia's contributors. Wikipedia's copyright policy sets out the conditions under which material may be reused from external sites or from other Wikipedia pages. Generally, it is judged sufficient to include a direct link within the edit summary to the original article, explaining the point of origin. For example, such an edit summary might read, "Text copied from [[source article]]." It is also helpful to place the template {{copied}} on the talk pages of both the source and the destination articles to indicate that extensive duplication has taken place. The basic usage of that template is {{copied|to=name of this article|from=name of article from which material was taken|diff=permanent url of edit when material was added}}. I am sorry to other contributors of this article for any inconvenience this clean-up may cause. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 19:05, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Population Figure[edit]

The population figure cited in this article is wrong. Rather than providing the population for the city, the writer has given the population for the entire district. Needs to be corrected. --King ravana (talk) 18:51, 12 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page[edit]

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.
