episode numbers (correction)[edit]

a very nice article page , but I have just one quibble : this page

examiner.com/article/abc-receives-backlash-over-killer-women-episode-switch-and-cancellation

explains that "Demons" is episode 6 , and "Daughter of the Alamo" is episode 7 (as originally conceived by the producers) ... a convenient (and probably accurate) explanation of why the opening summary of past actions at the beginning of "Daughter of the Alamo" includes material that was never aired by ABC .

WARNING : examiner.com is "blacklisted" at wikipedia.com . Because your site refused to allow me to submit this talk entry with http://www. at the beginning of the above link , I have entered the URL as text . I have visited the examiner site using Firefox with NOscript installed , and had no problems , but ... follow that link at your own risk !

I look forward to viewing the 2 remaining un-aired episodes after they are posted online . Would someone state whether ABC is going to be linking them on | the episode guide page , or somewhere else , and how long they are going to be accessible ?

added comments ...

after scheduling their expiration on 03/28/2014 , ABC has renewed free viewing (with Ads) for episodes 4, 5, and 6 on the episode guide page . Check there after 03/30 to see if there are any changes ...

As of 03/24/2014 , this page , which also discusses the "missing" episodes , states that
Those two missing episodes have been up loaded to HULU Plus.

here is a link to Killer Women on Hulu . As I write , episodes 2-6 are available with Ad.s on Hulu (free) , and episodes 1, (and the "missing" episodes) 7, and 8 are available with a subscription to Hulu Plus ...

A special announcement on that Hulu page (slightly edited) says
All episodes from the current season will be available as a special offering from 03/31/2014 - 04/06/2014 . See the whole season from the very beginning ...

Perhaps this brief viewing opportunity is a good reason to modify the article page ? Only about a million people followed this show at the time it was cancelled by ABC .

Regrettably , I am still searching for a second (and more trustworthy) source for the producer's intended sequencing of the 8 episodes .

I'm going to ask a stupid question, but... is a reference really necessary? I watched the last three episodes, and the only logical order is "Demons", "Daughters of the Alamo" and "Queen Bee". The "previously" at the beginning of each episode confirms that, and the events are chronological. Naoasakura (talk) 12:58, 7 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

on further consideration ...

I have seen all 8 episodes now , and I agree 100% with your observation about the "actual chronological sequence" of the episodes . Unfortunately , I now think we do need a reference . There are several reasons ...

First , a statement being true isn't sufficient to allow its inclusion in a wikipedia article : facts have to be supported by reliable published statements . Wikipedia doesn't allow "original research" (for example , what we concluded from watching the shows) , and to say that it "discourages" citations from the examiner (explcitly saying here that "examiner.com reviews do not have editorial overview, and hence not necessarily reliable") would be putting it mildly .

The next , and most concerning , problem is that "respected" sources , principally the ABC episiode guide and (just one example of how the rest of the internet has echoed ABC's choice) the IMDB episiode guide for Killer Women , contradict our "understanding" of proper numbering , assigning episode numbers according to the dates those shows were aired (or later released without airing) by ABC .

As long as ABC continues to say so (and why should they change now ?) , I think we have to accept the episode numbers they assigned as "given" , and just try to find a helpful interview of one of the show directors (or an executive at ABC) who admits that ABC changed the order of "Demons" and "Daughter ..." (for whatever reason) , and quote that - for the benefit of our readers . Regrettably , I haven't found such a reference , yet .

If you can understand Twitter chatting (I don't) , Tricia Helfer may have spoken out ... check this - "it sounds like" a confirmation , but I can't say if anything there qualifies as a reliable source , according to wikipedia ...

I'm sorry my "enthusiasm" for revision got ahead of me when I originally wrote , after having then just viewed the episode "Daughter ..." online .

"Killer Women" on Blu-ray and DVD from Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment[edit]

Killer Women was canceled last year, so I predict that the entire series may or may not be available on both Blu-ray and DVD from Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment. AdamDeanHall (talk) 21:14, 30 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You "predict"? That's original research and has no place in the article. "There are currently no plans" is also OR and reads as if it's a fact. If a series is not on DVD, we don't need to mention it's not on DVD because it's not noteworthy nor contains any useful information. Drovethrughosts (talk) 20:41, 1 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
