Untitled[edit]

As a former resident I have taken the liberty of fleshing it out a bit. There is much more work that can be done for sure but hopefully what I've written is NPOV, despite being a former King's Park pupil and 32F cadet! Incidentally I lived on Kingsacre Road until 1997 and could see three distinctive Castlemilk tower blocks from my house but can't be sure that they're still there today. --JamesTheNumberless 14:03, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Much of the park and golf course are actually in the Linn Park ?[edit]

As an ex-Kings Park resident this sounds wrong to me. The old 9 hole golf course and the Kings Park are two separate areas of land - and neither is part of the Linn Park as far as I know. I accept that they are close to the Linn Park, but there is a least half-a-mile of separation. I would like to see some justification or source for this statement or I propose it be removed. Linn Park has it's own golf course - the Kings Park golf course is the part of King's Park that's on the Croftfoot side of Croftpark Ave. Don't really know how this can be disputed given that we live in the age of google maps — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.206.67.34 (talk) 17:42, 17 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I would agree with those above that this statement is complete and utter nonsense and should be removed. Linn Park has its own 18 hole golf course, council run but completely separate in other respects from the now defunct Kings Park Golf Course. The two courses co-existed. I played both of them in the 1970s as a kid growing up in the area, though played Kings Park only once: it was truly dreadful (as golf courses go) and I'm not surprised it was closed down. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Deemacphotos (talk • contribs) 03:01, 11 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
