Controversies[edit]

Science reported that "KAUST has suffered an exodus of several senior scientists and administrators who have complained of meddling by officials from Aramco, the giant Saudi oil company that built and operates the campus." It would be useful to have some mention of that in the article, but I am not sure where and how to integrate it. --Ori.livneh (talk) 17:00, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

POV Discussion[edit]

This article is, in my view, a clear case of violating WP:NPOV.

WP:NOTLINK is clearly violated in the "Core Laboratories" section
Weird phrasings and unsourced claims which I have removed now
In general the whole article is not written in the style of an encyclopedia, but more like a marketing article. Sections such as

 " The research park allows technology-based businesses to establish office space, laboratory space or  R&D and demonstration facilities. The park also provides incubator space for technology startups to support the innovation mission of KAUST^[1] to enable technology transfer, startup funding, and entrepreneurship."

are obviously self-promotion WP:PROMO, additionally here WP:NOTLINK again.

This article should either be deleted or completely rewritten, without gems such as "To support these thrusts[...]" "Residents of the KAUST community enjoy many self-directed organizations, community activities and events"
