The article purports to be about "Korea animal rights advocates" but begins in the 21st century.

Korean and Korean-American animal advocates have been around since AT LEAST the middle of the 20th century, and there were Buddhists before that.

I think of Nami Wilson, a Christian Scientist (1977 Graduate of the Art Institute of Chicago) and a Korean-American vegan advocate for animal rights (Koreans for Animal Rights), vintage Chicago, IL, around 1980, now of Wilson, NC. There must be many others if her group called Koreans for Animal Rights was more than her personal mailing list (which she had said that it was). MaynardClark (talk)
