Move to Russian name?[edit]

Since the Crimea is de facto swallowed up by Russia, should this article be at the Russian transliteration of its name: Krasnogvardeysky Raion? Dralwik|Have a Chat 21:39, 20 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Probably not. Just like the article about Crimea, this one is about a Ukrainian entity. We have the Republic of Crimea for the Russian entity, so it only makes sense to create separate articles for these "Russian" districts. After all, if Russia starts changing the administrative structure, the changes will affect those "Russian" entities but the Ukrainian raions will remain the same. Furthermore, the municipal organization of the Ukrainian and Russian districts are quite different. Until the Crimean situation is resolved one way or the other, I'm afraid maintaining two parallel structures is going to be a necessity, and even then we should probably wait with moving/creating stuff until Russia fully incorporates Crimea into the Russian Federation (within the Russian legal framework, that is). At this point of time even Russians are using the Crimean laws which do not contradict the Russian Constitution.—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); March 21, 2014; 12:03 (UTC)
Alright, that sounds reasonable. Dralwik|Have a Chat 17:14, 21 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
