IMK / IUK[edit]

"The Islamic Movement operates from the town of Halabjah and after the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan it is currently the third largest party in Northern Iraq. "

I thought that the Kurdistan Islamic Union is the 3rd largest.

Have these two been confused or are they the same organisation? AndrewRT 17:59, 10 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think they have been confused. At the elections in December 2005 the IUK vas the third largest party (well actually it was the second largest list) in Kurdistan, since the two big ones tried to get everybody onto their combined backroomrigged list "The Patriotic Alliance of Kurdistan" --Vindheim 19:15, 10 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ok I've removed then AndrewRT 13:35, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Kurdish Islamic Organisations[edit]

I don't think this section belongs in this article - I suggest it is taken out and made into a separate article (or better still, category) AndrewRT 18:01, 10 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Name of the Party[edit]

The name of this party is Bizûtinewey Îslamî le Kurdistan which means "Islamic Movement of Kurdistan" and not "Kurdistan Islamic Movment".

I remember that the titel was Islamic Movment of Kurdistan which was correct but somebody changed it now its wrong. The party itself and the media also call the party "Islamic Movment of Kurdistan" and "IMK" is written in the Logo of this party which means Islamic Movment of Kurdistan. Source 1 - http://basknet.org/ Source 2 - http://ekurd.net/mismas/articles/misc2013/3/state6950.htm

So please change the titel of this article back to "Islamic Movment of Kurdistan".--BaranKurd (talk) 22:56, 24 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
