Notes from preliminary new page patrol review[edit]

I added the notability tag. This particular issue could cause the article to get nominated for deletion or deleted. Briefly, to resolve this editors should find and incorporate a couple of references which discuss the Kurdistan Justice Group in depth. The article currently has only one reference, and I can't even find the Kurdistan Justice Group mentioned in it. If you feel that such references are not findable/ do not exist, but you are able to at least source the material in the article, another possibility is to move the material to a broader article and convert this into a redirect. It is surprising; this is a 16 year old article and is just a stub and only one reference. Perhaps something more complex is going on. Sincerely, North8000 (talk) 04:12, 6 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I sort of could support a deletion per WP:TNT. There is an article that mentions the founding or rebranding of the Kurdistan Justice Group in February 2021. The Wikipedia article on the Kurdistan Justice Group is from 2005. And there is some rather fierce edit warring going on at Ali Bapir, the supposed president of the Kurdistan Justice Group established in February 2021. I agree. But I thought I'd give a heads-up to the editors before either converting it back to a redirect or going to AFD in case someone is going to fix it. North8000 (talk) 18:59, 6 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I've marked this as patrolled as the subject likely is notable due to holding seats in a national parliament. There isn't much here so I don't see a case for a WP:TNT deletion. Regardless, no objection if either of you want to AfD it, I'd abstain as I do not hold a strong view here. Elli (talk | contribs) 22:06, 6 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I also don't have a strong interest in the article, and it doesn't seem to have had the last 15 years either. But it'll be some work to explain why an article on a party established in 2021, here an other source from 2021 existed since 2005. They are not good sources but this is what I found in a short search. Paradise Chronicle (talk) 22:58, 6 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I think you may have misread the source: The congress also re-elected Ali Bapir as leader. He has held the position since the establishment of the party in May 2001. Elli (talk | contribs) 23:47, 6 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Not satisfied yet, so for a party called Kurdistan Islamic Group since May 2001 was created an article called Kurdistan Justice Group in 2005? Anyway, let's others solve the mystery. Paradise Chronicle (talk) 07:13, 7 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
