Spotting rifle[edit]

"Upon firing, the .22 cartridge case sets back out of the 7.62 mm casing", I cannot understand this statement. Can someone expand on it? What is "sets back out" mean? Maury 12:21, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Rather than me trying to explain it, look at this link [1] - the spotting rifle from the LAW 80 was used on the SMAW. I've never seen this system used before, would be nice to get some non-copyright pictures for the article. Riddley 00:00, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have reworded the sentance slightly to try to clarify the action. Hopefully this is an improvement? --Mlongcake 11:49, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"LAW 94"[edit]

The LAW 80 was most certainly renamed the "LAW94" as part of later number designation for AT weapons possibly because of a protracted development period. The 84mm Carl Gustav remained in service until the 90's alongside the MILAN, the LAW80 took quite some time to replace it on general issue.

Training posters and manuals refer to it as such. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.7.92.34 (talk) 05:44, 24 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
