5th safest airline???[edit]

I removed the meaningless statement that LTU is the 5th safest airline in the world. "Citation needed" was added in FEB 07 and, unsurprisingly, no source was provided because there is none. What does "safe" mean? Least accidents? Many airlines have had none - especially those that didn't last long. Least accidents per number of passengers? Per year? Per size of fleet? Per number of sectors flown? There are just too many variables to make such a blanket assessment of safety. --Targeman 15:05, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

LTU is the 5th safest airline, it's the 6th. Due to the facts that there's no accident with any victims in their history, they are rated 0 by JACDEC. They only lost one TriStar during maintenance without any casualties (a fire destroyed the whole cabin, the plane was written off). LTU was founded in 1955 so Qantas is the safest (founded 1922), Finnair the 2nd (1924), Cathay Pacific 3rd (1946), El Al 4th (1948), ANA 5th (1953) and LTU 6th (1955). All of them are rated 0 by JACDEC. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.132.67.53 (talk) 09:42, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:LTU Logo.png[edit]

Image:LTU Logo.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
