== Used by American ==

Before La Cambe was a Germen Cemetery, It was used by the Americans. My uncle who was KIA 13 July 44 in Le Carillon was buried in La Cambe plot L, row 9, grave 173 until he was disinterred in Oct. 1947, when his body was sent home burial. After all the American KIA's were disinterred, it was turned over to the Germans. Another fact is that the Americans were buried and disinterred by German prisoners of war. My uncle served in the 35th. Inf.Div., 320 Inf. Regt. CoG.

thanks you Ralph P. Simeone

Listing it as being "Near Bayeux"[edit]

I find it kind odd to have it listed as being near Bayeux. Bayeux is about 35km away, there are many other villages closer by, including the village of La Cambe that it takes it's name from. Just seems odd to me to list it as near Bayeux, gives the impression is close by. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bussche (talkcontribs) 19:49, 22 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
