Added Experiment[edit]

I've added CRESST to the list of experiments, see [1] --134.2.73.58 (talk) 10:19, 17 March 2008 (UTC) (Radswit)[reply]

Wrong inchpit[edit]

In italian, the word "laboratori" is the plural form of "laboratorio", so in the article there's an "is" after Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso and that's wrong. I don't know if it's so much important, so I'm not going to edit the article. --BlackLukes (talk) 18:30, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Muon neutrinos from CERN[edit]

"CERN has directed a beam of muon neutrinos from the CERN SPS accelerator to the Gran Sasso lab, 730 km away" How exactly? Through what? A tunnel? A drilled hole? --212.33.138.12 (talk) 12:48, 26 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Through solid rock. It may help to read the article on neutrinos to understand that these particles interact extremely rarely with other matter, and almost all of them will pass through the Earth without detection. --RexxS (talk) 13:58, 26 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Inappropriate event display[edit]

The event display at the top left of the article (in the 'beyond the standard model' box) shows a simulated collision with the production of a Higgs boson at the CMS detector at CERN (see the file's summary text). While physics beyond the standard model is searched for at LNGS, these searches have little to do directly with the Higgs boson. Neither has the CMS experiment anything to do with LNGS. I find it thus a bit far fetched to include this image in this article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Andre.holzner (talkcontribs) 13:41, 2 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
