Labour Party (Netherlands)Partij van de Arbeid – "The party is called 'Partij van de Arbeid'. Though Labour Party is the English translation, that is not what the Dutch party is called. —JackSparrow Ninja 00:23, 31 January 2007 (UTC)" copied from WP:RM by  AjaxSmack  01:45, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Survey - in support of the move[edit]

Survey - in opposition to the move[edit]

  1. Oppose per WP:UE but might support a move to Dutch Labour Party. The party's official website uses the English name as in "This is the English website of the Dutch Labour Party, in the Netherlands known as Partij van de Arbeid (the PvdA)" [1], "Manifesto, Dutch Labour Party" [2], "Discussion Paper Prepared by the Dutch Labour Party’s Working Group on Europe" [3], &c. (Plus, party van could be ambiguous.) —  AjaxSmack  01:45, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  2. Oppose. All Dutch parties have been standardized in this version per WP:UE. I would prefer to keep this name Labour Party (Netherlands), because it is clear and simple. C mon 12:53, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  3. Oppose per C mon; I'm not sure about Dutch Labour Party. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 22:16, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  4. C mon is right. JACOPLANE • 2007-01-31 22:22
  5. Oppose per above. The English translation certainly takes priority. 205.157.110.11 02:45, 1 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  6. Oppose. Per AjaxSmack and the party's own website. --SigPig |SEND - OVER 04:47, 1 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Allies?[edit]

I realise that PvdA is currently governing with CDA and has formed a 'purple' government in the past with VVD, but which party or parties are PvdA's preferred coalition allies? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Free Socialist (talkcontribs) 15:18, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Politically, it's closest to the Dutch Green Party (GroenLinks, meaning Green Left), but it has also coöperated fruitfully with D66 (Dutch Liberal Democrats) and the SP (Socialist Party).82.176.204.198 (talk) 14:38, 12 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dutch Labour PartyLabour Party (Netherlands) — To move this article in line wither other international labour parties, which have the country in parenthesis, rather than at the beginning of the article title. See, for example, Labour Party (UK), Labour Party (Turkey), Labour Party (Ireland), and many more. 84.92.117.93 (talk) 21:21, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Attacking the Right[edit]

Why all right parties are being described with insults like "eurosceptics" or "Anti-immigration" and from negative point of view and parties from the Left are not? Why socialist parties are not described as "anti-capitalist" for instance? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.138.239.137 (talk) 22:13, 5 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Representation table[edit]

Can the table at the beginning of the Representation section, giving a year by year overview without source references, be removed from the article? It seems overly specific and contains partially redundant information. – Editør (talk) 19:25, 24 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the table. – Editør (talk) 09:06, 31 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Headquarters forced to move[edit]

As of the results of the last general elections, the party huge defeat to 9 seats influenced the party funds which forced the party to leave the capital for a little cheap office in The Hague. Change the adress in Rijswijkseweg 60 The Hague, the new headquarters of the Dutch Labour Party(source: Chamber of Commerce www.kvk.nl) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ashwin676 (talkcontribs) 15:07, 15 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Fist and rose[edit]

Mention of current leader in lead[edit]

"The Leader of the Labour Party is Attje Kuiken" appears, from what evidence I can find, to be incorrect. The tables draw distinctions between various offices, and it appears that Kuiken holds an office other than Leader. Harfarhs (talk) 18:08, 4 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
