I think it might make sense to have one article called Lamborghini V8 cars that would include the content of Lamborghini V8, this article, Lamborghini Silhouette, and Lamborghini Jalpa. There is not much in each individual article and much of what is there is repeated in the other articles. Do you think this would be a good idea? Ambiguity vs. nonsense[edit]

User:JCDenton2052 has a problem with the following paragraph:

The car was a 2+2 coupé with body designed by Marcello Gandini, at the time working for Carrozzeria Bertone. Rather than being another supercar, like the Lamborghini Miura, the Urraco was more affordable, an alternative to the pricier Ferrari Dino and Maserati Merak.

because it uses the somewhat ambiguous term "supercar".

However, I have a problem with what he replaced it with:

because the Urraco is a sports car, and, consequently, the paragraph is meaningless at best and deceptive at worst.

The good Mr. Denton refers me to Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Automobiles/Archive_11#Supercar_eradication, which discusses the elimination of the supercar category because it is ambiguous. However, in the context in which it is used above, the term is not ambiguous at all. It refers to production cars of the highest level of performance in their time, which the Miura was and the Urraco was not.

On the other hand, the use of the term "sports car" in that context is not ambiguous, it is merely incorrect. The Urraco is a sports car, and so is the MGB GT. The term "sports car" does not say anything about price or performance, as the term "supercar" does.

Since the use of the term "supercar" is so offensive to the sensibilities of Mr. Denton, I shall find some way to modify the sentence without using the term, but in such a way that the sentence actually makes sense. I advise Mr. Denton to do the same in future when he considers modifying articles.

The replacement words ("sports car at the highest level of performance") are now ridiculous, bearing in mind we're using them to describe something the car isn't. Supercar has its own article for goodness sake so must be a valid word to use in an article! This is NOT an improvement to the article so I have replaced the words with "supercar".
