CCHT external link[edit]

This link was added to the article after discussion on the WP Reliable Sources Noticeboard. See: WP:RSN exercise. No information from the CCHT link has been put into the body of the article in the form of citations because it has not yet been verified for 100% accuracy by the Victoria County History project for Cumbria. (This will take some years to do). Laplacemat (talk) 11:08, 23 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hanging hyphens[edit]

@Bmcln1: Please see Hyphen#Suspended hyphens "For example, nineteenth-century and twentieth-century may be written as nineteenth- and twentieth-century. This usage is now common in English and specifically recommended in some style guides." One such guide is Wikipedia's MoS, which days "Use a hanging hyphen when two compound modifiers are separated (two- and three-digit numbers; a ten-car or -truck convoy;" The change I made was exactly in accordance with the MoS. Please undo your change. Chris the speller yack 20:26, 9 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Since my explanation and request are being ignored, I will fix the article again. Chris the speller yack 18:02, 11 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
