Concerns about editing[edit]

On Google, Google Books and Google Scholar I cannot find a use of the phrase "Lands of Tour and Kirkland" or "Tour and Kirkland" outside Wikipedia mirrors. I can find "Tour and Kirklands" used in two mid-19th century books on Ayrshire by James Paterson. Is there a source beside Paterson that uses this name, and is the current name of the article accurate? I am concerned that the topic of this article may be improper synthesis - are these "lands" really a topic that has received significant attention?

About Tour House it was said "In the Statistical Account of 1791-99 James Watson was the owner of the tower and its old monastic Cistercian buildings, separated from the church by a garden, "laid out with excellent tafte, efpecially of the kind that is favourable to retirement and meditation." This suggests that the dwelling was at this site at this time." I found the referenced Volume III on Google Books and here, but p335 is about Larbert and Dunipace and does not mention Tour House. This is not good referencing, it should have been Volume 9, p374. The other references might be similarly inaccurate. The source does not refer to "Tour House", only to a "tower". Is there evidence that the tower occupied by James Watson is the same building as the current Tour House?

There is some vague phrasing in parts of the article, such as "once described" and "It has been suggested that". Who described or suggested this, and when?

In the related article Lady's Well the first two references used in that article appear not to be to the same well; is this well really notable? The description of what Rev. John Urquhart says sounds like original research. Can this well not be briefly described in this main article? I suggest a merge. I note the author copied about four sentences directly from the RCAHMS site, which is under Crown Copyright. I have placed a copyvio notice on that article.
