remove copied paragraph[edit]

I've wrapped an entire paragraph (the second in the lede) in comment tags because it appears to be a direct copy/paste and/or close paraphrase of http://www.perth.wa.gov.au/sites/default/files/documents/Forgotten%20Spaces%20Revitalising%20Perths%20Laneways.pdf page 5. It needs rewriting, to avoid WP:COPYVIO. Mitch Ames (talk) 11:06, 3 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Inclusion of birth/death years for people in this article[edit]

I have again removed the birth/death years for a couple of people (after whom a lane was named) because I don't believe that they are relevant to the article about the lanes, and add unnecessary clutter. In one case (Barratt) there is a linked article about the person, and that article has the details if anyone is interested. Admitted for Shafto there is no article, but I've left the details in as a hidden comment so that they are not lost, just in case someone wants to create an article for him.

A previous discussion about this same issue (on a different article, about a street) is at Talk:Milligan_Street,_Perth#Inclusion_of_birth.2Fdeath_years_for_people_in_this_article - consensus there was that the birth/death years did not belong. Mitch Ames (talk) 12:59, 7 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
