Rewriting process[edit]
The background information I used was found at [History section], just noticed that the reference link used on that article, Enciclopedia de los Municipios de México Estado de Puebla does not actually contains any of the cited information. A more accurate site is probably History section. The article about Puebla perhaps needs some work. I will use the correct link.--Raúl Gutiérrez (talk) 17:27, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
- Just checking in. I am keeping an eye on the progress. Also remeber that the strength of the wiki platform is that an article can include links to relevant background information instead of including it all within the article here. This means that only the material that is directly relevant to the topic should go in the article while reader can be directed to useful background information throiugh the use of wikilinks.·Maunus·ƛ· 18:20, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
- Also I would very much encourage you to not rely only on sources that can be found online. The best sources about topics relating to ancient Mesoamerica are not online, but either in Peereviewed journals or in published monographs (e.g. archaeological field reports) or in books published by academic presses. I know that editing from Mexico it can often be difficult to find good paper sources about historical topics and one ends up relying on guidebooks or websites. One vauable resource is JSTOR and similar online repositories of research articles - I have access to most of those so if you need a source that is in one of the online databases that you can't acces, I can help you with that. ·Maunus·ƛ· 18:31, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
- It makes sense, INAH uses their sites more to talk about what they do or dont, than to share investigations results and data. I would love to get those resources, except that I would have to know what is in them, perhaps I need to tell you what new articles I am working on and if you have time, see if you find good information on them.
