Singles[edit]

I've removed the section regarding singles, as Lazarus has not been released from this album. The Bowie version of Lazarus was released in 2015 from the Blackstar album. Life on Mars? from this album hasn't been released either, and in any case neither of the release dates were correct. If someone has further citable knowledge, please feel free to add it back. @MarpoHarks: The Michael C. Hall and Sophia Anne Caruso versions of "Lazarus" and "Life on Mars?" were both released prior to the album release. TheKaphox T 02:05, 2 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@TheKaphox: Thanks, do you have links to this information? I've looked on sophiaanncaruso.com as well Lazarus.com and DavidBowie.com and can't find it. MarpoHarks (talk) 02:15, 2 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@MarpoHarks: Bowie's official Vevo account. TheKaphox T 02:19, 2 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@TheKaphox: That page says "Published on 16 Sep 2016 "Life On Mars?" performed by Sophia Anne Caruso off the Lazarus Cast Album out now on 2X CD, 3X 180g Vinyl LP and digital configurations" and "Published on 16 Sep 2016 "Lazarus" performed by Michael C. Hall off the Lazarus Cast Album out now on 2X CD, 3X 180g Vinyl LP and digital configurations" no mention of them being released as singles. MarpoHarks (talk) 02:25, 2 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Recording dates[edit]

Just to correct my editing summary "The versions on this album were all recorded in 2016, except the title track by Bowie in 2015", the four songs sung by Bowie were recorded in 2015. The rest of the album was recorded on 11 January 2016 as per citation in lead. I'm not sure if we should include 1961 for Hello Mary Lou, as it would make it too ambiguous if we put 1961-2016 and that track is only a part of the song. There's also "Sound and Vision", which was recorded in 1977. It's a Bowie song, so maybe we should count that? TheKaphox T 01:30, 2 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for pointing that one out! I'm still not sure how to add it without it looking too ambiguous though, i.e 1977-2016 doesn't seem right when it's only one track from that year. Any suggestions please? Also, again it's only a small snippet of the song, not the whole track as released in 1977.MarpoHarks (talk) 02:20, 2 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

How did Bowie act as co-producer on the album if it was recorded the day after his death? Well, the title of the show gives a possible explanation, I suppose. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.83.127.252 (talk) 11:45, 2 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

"Soundtrack"[edit]

A cast album isn't a soundtrack. At all. The whole title of this page is in error. 205.203.130.22 (talk) 19:20, 6 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
