Linking dates[edit]

Linking dates allow the user to see dates in his/her preferred format, whether it be "Month Day, Year", "Day Month Year", or something else. I admit that there's no actual encyclopedic value to linking the dates, but it can make Wikipedia as a whole look more consistent. (See Wikipedia:Manual of Style (dates and numbers) for more information.) Gemtiger 19:16, 6 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Makes sense. Returned links to day/month. -Jmh123 21:55, 16 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Inspirational memoir[edit]

Isn't "inspirational" a judgment call? Wouldn't it be better to just call it a memoir, and then report that some reviewers have called it inspirational, or that Aiken intended it to be inspirational, or whatever the case may be?   Will Beback  talk  07:34, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You have a point. It came from the NY Times description and is printed on the cover. The Times description has it in quotes, would that work?[1] ETA: I just saw the edit on the main article. I don't know the answer. Maria202 (talk) 14:16, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've removed it from both articles for the time being. Placing it in quotes looks arch, like we're implying irony.   Will Beback  talk  20:04, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
