The latter pic in the article is not that of the facade of the cathedral but the statues are at the sidea of the square where the cathedral is!!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.140.22.73 (talkcontribs) 09:02, 28 January 2007

Image of bell tower in Template[edit]

Hallo,
I think that the picture of the bell tower in the city template is by far worse - also qualitatively - than the previous collage. Moreover, it has been put there against consensus, and should be replaced with the collage. Alex2006 (talk) 06:27, 16 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. This picture is just not suitable for Wikipedia. Low resolution, photoshopped and showing nothing but half a tower bell with no background at all. Unfortunately AureaVis seems not willing to contribute in a proper way as he reverted our edits without understanding that he's the only one who wants that image to represent the city. He was warned not to continue edit-warring but he did anyway (and this happened even for Milan and Rome). I decided to revert his edit in the meantime.–Kingston28 (talk) 15:21, 16 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Hallo, I improve the picture? I think it is far better. On Facebook it appears the logo of the bell tower of Lecce. The collage is too messy and does not show well the characteristic symbol of the Baroque bell tower. Bye. --AureaVis (talk) 19:57, 16 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

But you have to understand that facebook is not Wikipedia. Here we have different forms to how we present a city image in regards to an article. Apart that the images in facebook aren't adequate here in Wikipedia, the collages show better the cities than mere symbols as you stated. (N0n3up (talk) 03:54, 17 January 2015 (UTC))[reply]

My image has been there for much longer than collage. I want to change the image in that city because Facebook takes that image for the city. Find a solution to let you see the Baroque bell tower on Facebook. --AureaVis (talk) 11:47, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
This is not true, as you can see from the history of the article. You inserted your image here, and after being reverted with a good reason here, you inserted it again a week later ignoring the WP:BRD policy. If you are not convinced you can ask for a Request for comment about the opportunity of changing image. Alex2006 (talk) 12:03, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

== POPULATION?: ==

The population data in English contradicts the population data on the Italian page by about 10%. The English citation claims the data comes from ISTAT and is said to be based on the 2001 census with modifications from a demografic survey (badly translated on the 'list of cities in Italy' page from 'bilancio demografico' to 'demografic balance') conducted from 2001-2006. The Italian citation, also quoting ISTAT, is more recent (31/05/2007). This should be updated... volunteers? 220.253.44.77 (talk) 11:09, 8 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
