Re-creation[edit]

I've recreated the article from the draft submitted by User:Otterlyhwi, after the deletion review. The singer meets WP:MUSICBIO #9 "Has won first, second or third place in a major music competition", and additionally has been a major member of Wanna One and the cohost of the hit show M Countdown. A histmerge has been done, and the histories of both the original article and Otterlyhwi's new draft are visible. -Zanhe (talk) 07:40, 23 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Zanhe, thanks for the histmerge. His solo single "Candle" in 2019 also reached Gaon Single Chart so he now meets WP:MUSICBIO #2 "Has had a single or album on any country's national music chart." It's just that the items needed to be highlighted in the biography for it to be ready for mainspace. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 14:36, 23 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Zanhe, it's not clear that finishing third in a competition that selects 12 people for the final group is that special enough to be musicbio #9. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 18:03, 23 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@AngusWOOF: Produce 101 is one of the most watched music competitions on earth. In season 2, the winners were chosen from over 10 million votes, about 1/5 of South Korea's population (see Billboard), and Lee received more than 1 million votes to finish third. The Chinese version of Produce 101 was viewed 4.3 billion times (or half billion per episode) last year, see [1]. Yang Chaoyue, after finishing third on that show, was named one of the most influential people in China by a major magazine, see [2]. -Zanhe (talk) 19:28, 23 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
