Reinstating Legal Momentum user account[edit]

I am the current Communications Associate at Legal Momentum. We would like to edit our article page to describe our history more thoroughly and highlight our current work. However, the user name Legal Momentum is blocked and I do not know the email address associated with it or the password. How can I regain control of the user name and edit the page? 173.56.120.95 (talk) 16:30, 3 October 2014 (UTC)Jean Gazis, Communications Associate, Legal Momentum (www.legalmomentum.org)[reply]

contesting speedy deletion due to planned updating and established notability[edit]

Legal Momentum intends to update its page in the next couple of weeks with more complete information about our history and impact. This will not be advertising or promotional content.

Legal Momentum is a notable organization with a long history of significant public impact, including numerous important legal cases and major legislation. External references will be provided. Unfortunately for Legal Momentum 45, and the organization, this is against Wikipedia policies and guidelines, including WP:CONFLICT, WP:NPOV which is unavoidable no matter how hard you may try to be balanced, and possibly WP:ORIGINAL if you try to include facts that aren't well cited. It's suggestion #1 in WP:BAD, rule 7 of WP:10SIMPLERULES, and it's the same situation as WP:AUTO. Just wait for editors to improve, or comment here on what you think can be improved. It sucks, but that's the way. I see you tried to see how to do this before, in October 2014, however there isn't a way to do it. I would recommend that you stop editing, be it with just the IP 173.56.120.95, or your username Legal Momentum 45, or another username or IP.
You will see that your old username, Legal Momentum, was permanently banned for doing exactly this. I saw that you tried to resurrect it, but again, its sole purpose was "as an account used for promotion of a company or group, with a username that implies that this has been done by that company or group", which also happens to violate Wikipedia's username (and by extension, account) policies. You will see that the talk page for this new username explains that this name was banned for the exact same reasons, including WP:CONFLICT and WP:U.
Please don't do this again. Jbbdude (talk) 01:55, 2 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
