trying to improve the article by adding references and removing the promotional sound. Changed the first paragraph and two of the area description to be more concise and informative. it1224 (talk) 19:14, 11 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

miniland link[edit]

inserted links to lists comparing both the models and the actual structure in NY and DC. makes mroe sense than having a generic link to the city itself. Left alone those links that dont have lsits. Then cleaned up the paragraph a little to maintain continuity between the miniland site and the design facility.

I don't know what happenend on May 13th, but the pictures are just fine, so I reverted the edit that removed the photo gallery.Isaac Crumm 22:34, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That's bizzare - the pictures aren't working for me at all. No place holders or anything. I'll have to assume it's a problem at my end - sorry for the unecessary edit. TheIslander 22:55, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject class rating[edit]

This article was automatically assessed because at least one WikiProject had rated the article as start, and the rating on other projects was brought up to start class. BetacommandBot 03:16, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sales brochure[edit]

This whole article reads like a brochure, including the promotional photographs. According the wikipedia:criteria for speedy deletion this would fall under blatant advertising. There are no reliable sources, and only a number of links to the company this article is about. Considering this, I do not see how this article can be brought up to scratch without being "fundamentally rewritten". For this reason, I nominate this article for speedy deletion. Wouter de Groot (talk) 06:39, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah... nope. This article does not fall under G11, as a fundamental rewrite is not needed - it just needs all the advert-like spam removed, which I'm doing. Being a very, very large and famous theme park in the United States, this article is inherantly notable. TalkIslander 14:52, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
...and in fact, a quick look at the history (which of course anyone nominating or deleting an article for any CSD should do) throws up this recent edit. A quick revert to the version before it fixes this problem. Wouter de Groot and DGG, please be more careful in the future. TalkIslander 15:08, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:NYC Legoland.JPG[edit]

The image Image:NYC Legoland.JPG is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Size[edit]

The other three currently open Legolands have their sizes on Wikipedia listed as

Windsor: 150 acres Denmark: 140.000 m² Germany: 43.5 hectares

And no size at all is listed for the Californa park.

These sizes need to be in the same measurement. I wanted to know if the Danish park is the biggest or not. I found a measurement converter on the net and worked out the following. (to nearest whole number).

Windsor: 150 acres Denmark: 140.000 m² = 35 acres Germany: 43.5 hectares = 107 acres Californa - a result from Google claims 128-acres

If its okay maybe an editor can change the four legoland Wikipedia entries so it's easier to compare the size of the parks. In my view these should be listed in the same place on each page and same measurements.

Or maybe there's is a twist to this. Maybe the Danes don't want visitors to know that their park is tiny by comparison. I have certainly heard people in the UK dismissing Windsor and saying "Denmark is the biggest". If people knew it was so small there would be very few international tourists as many would choose one of the larger ones. UK visitors would prefer Windsor as the selling argument today for Denmark is a belief that "it must be bigger".

So I won't update, I will leave that to Wikipedia editors to sort out.

You have a valid point, but: there's a difference between absolute size and perceived size. If I open Legoland Sahara with an area of 400 square miles but only put one half-built Duplo set in, that's "bigger" in terms of land area, but certainly not in terms of Lego-ish "stuff". If the 35 acres of the Denmark park are fully built out, and the 150 acres of Windsor include a 20 acre section that's built out with the remainder being flower gardens or reserved for future expansion, then someone who's only interested in the Legos might well want to visit the Denmark site instead. 174.65.175.154 (talk) 14:30, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Imagination Zone[edit]

One sentence in "Imagination Zone" reads: "Guests can also ride on "Bionicle Blaster", which is a version of the teacup ride...". Many readers probably do not know what "teacup ride" refers to. Please consider changing this for clarity.E-sub-n (talk) 01:41, 21 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Addition of Ninjago World[edit]

As a current employee of Legoland CA Resort, I can confirm that our new Ninjago World section opened on May 5th, 2016. Someone ought to add a new section to the page with a list of attractions. 72.197.9.171 (talk) 10:47, 21 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
