Left handed[edit]

A self-taught, left-handed drummer on a right-handed kit

Question: Why didn't he just re-arrange the drums to left-handed? Was it another guy's kit and he couldn't afford his own kit? 80.145.249.71 (talk) 17:14, 31 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Open Handed[edit]

Because he's Open-handed, which means he doesn't play with his arms crossed over when using the hi-hat. Many very well known drummers apply this seem technique. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.87.69.154 (talk) 06:09, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Some misinformation[edit]

I noticed while reading this article that there are a few points of misinformation which must be changed. Here's just a few things that I'm changing to make the article more correct in terms of information:

1. Lenny White also appeared on Freddie Hubbard's Red Clay, when he was only 19.

2. Lenny White also appeared before 1973 on Chick Corea's recordings as well as Stanley Clarke's.

3. He did many CDs, so I was thinking of separating the discography into where he was the leader of his own band and when he was used simply as a side-kick.

Thank you.

Copyright issues?[edit]

As there were no inline references, I attempted to begin to add some and discovered the text appears to have been copied and pasted from the first reference I went to-- The "All About Jazz" website. Copyright violation? --Leahtwosaints (talk) 23:49, 2 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox image[edit]

I replaced the infobox image. The old image showed him in the middle of speaking, not very encyclopedic nor flattering. I think it borderline failed WP:LEADIMAGE item #1. The new image shows him during performance, the source of his notability. If you disagree, just revert. If a sharper encyclopedic image becomes available, please upload and replace.
