Unfinished? or Not?[edit]

The lead describes this work as an "unfinished opera," but later the article indicates, "Berlioz threw himself into writing the score in the summer of 1826: the first two acts were finished by June, and he composed the third act in July and August and added the final touches in September," suggesting that it was in fact completed, albeit never performed and eventually destroyed. Which correctly characterizes the work? Drhoehl (talk) 21:50, 21 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Further, it's categorised in Category:Lost operas, but that is patently not so. It's not as if the MS could be sitting on some dusty shelf in some unknown place - on the contrary, we know Berlioz destroyed it, so there's no MS to be found anymore. -- Jack of Oz [Talk] 19:11, 2 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Unachieved or unfinished ? Please go to the talk page on the french article, we find in the correspondance of Berlioz, letters from 12 januar 1827 then 20 januar 1827, letters to Léon Compaignon then to his sister Nanci: « My opera is finished.» Vhere is the truth ? Excuse me for my English but it's for me a duty on English wiki to speak English ! Michel Verjus, FRANCE.--78.126.83.80 (talk) 12:26, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
