Blocks of links[edit]

I've moved the blocks of links here... they shouldn't be in the core of an article. Perhaps they are just a holding place for new content to be written?

Cited in the body of the article. Rest listed as notes. AnupMehra 20:54, 1 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The ones that are already cited in the article don't need to be repeated. Regarding "notes" do you mean further reading? If so, see WP:Further reading for more information.--CaroleHenson (talk) 21:03, 1 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Plus, here's an example of what a further reading section should look like Mierle Laderman Ukeles#Further reading.--CaroleHenson (talk) 21:05, 1 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Earlier it was just like <ref>AuthorName, Title</ref>. They were required to cited properly in order to verify the content of the article. And, I guess, Notes serve as both. Additional sources to establish WP:GNG & sometimes further reading as well. However they do just mention the subject somewhere in the book in one or few pages and do not carry substantial information related to the subject. So, they are better left untouched as notes from mine point of view. AnupMehra 21:22, 1 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The term "notes" references to citations / references, in other words tied to specific article content. If the sources don't tie to specific article content, but are just a place where a reader can get more information, it's further reading. When I can, I include the page numbers so that readers can get right to the content, but I think that's just a personal choice.--CaroleHenson (talk) 21:34, 1 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I've no objection. WP:POLICY overrides personal choices. Thanks for your edits. Perhaps it is better than earlier now. AnupMehra 21:52, 1 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
