I Object to the proposed deletion of this article on the following grounds:

1) There are countless examples of unregistered parties from all over the world that have their own article in Wikipedia. In the case of Brazil, the current legislation on the creation of new parties is extremely restrictive and so not being currently registered with the electoral court doesn't mean much. According to the party's website, the biggest hurdles right now are financial and bureaucratic issues, but it is likely that its unregistered status will not last for long.

2) The deletion of the article in the Portuguese Wikipedia was to a great extent motivated by a political dispute and was approved on a simple-majority vote by a handful of editors and admins who did not offer any argument to substantiate their choice. So, for one thing, the "procedures" adopted by the Portuguese wiki are far from reliable. The political dispute involved can be seen in the archived discussions and the fact that articles on far less known and even obscure new parties were left untouched over there (and even defended from deletion by the same editors who voted to delete LIBER's article). Anyway, once the official registration of the party is confirmed, the page will be back in, as an agreed compromise with one of the admins.

I personally don't have much time now (even as I write this, I am busy with a translation, and so will stop here) but I'm going to add some more details to the article soon. In fact, the text could be easily improved by anyone who knows a little Portuguese and is acquainted with libertarianism, as the party's website is quite straightforward.
