Weekends[edit]

Doesn't anyone think that some of these films' grosses should be changed to show the amount they made throughout extended weekends? Like Indy 4, Hancock, and Marley and Me. Also maybe have the grosses include the advanced screenings? Just a thought. Because Hanock had a 6-day weekend--July 1st (advanced screenings) to the 6th. Marley and Me started on the 25th of December, which was a Thursday, making it a 4-day weekend. And Indy 4 opened on May 22nd, a Thursday, making it a 4-day weekend (especially for Memorial Day weekend, in which several other "Box Office" pages include the 4-day Memorial Day weekend grosses), and grossing 125 million. And not to mention Iron Man, which had advanced screenings on May 1st, and made over 100 million. Like I said, just a thought. That's what I would do. I think we all know what will be number one for the 20 July box office. Let's make Wikipedia a future machine. While I agree wholeheartedly that The Dark Knight will crush this weekend, it has not yet come to pass. Wikipedia is not a crystal ball, and even though events will most likely play out the way you are predicting, I have removed it from the site for now. Cshulse (talk) 19:35, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New referencing[edit]

I've used a new method of referencing, pointing to Box Office Mojo's 2008 weekend box office chart. It seems inane to cite each weekend repeatedly when the one chart has all the necessary information. All the Domestic box office numbers include Canada as well, so please change the title to USA + Canada.
