What happened before 1977?[edit]

Well?

As an older person I can tell the young'ns that there used to be marching bands (Police, military, etc), playing a range of pieces, until they began the nation anthem - God Save the Queen at the time. After around the first three bars the crowd would overwhelm the band's playing with cheering. Dunno if anyone knows where this could be sourced. HiLo48 (talk) 06:48, 26 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
