Celebrity Hijack housemates[edit]

Should'nt the Celebrity Hijack housemates be added to this list or dont they count. (90.205.46.130 (talk) 16:38, 25 April 2008 (UTC))[reply]

Northern Ireland flag[edit]

See Wikipedia:Manual of Style (icons) and this. O Fenian (talk) 16:36, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Would editors please stop portraying a sectarian flag that has no official status as if it was the flag of NI, it is not. BigDuncTalk 10:00, 9 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Sort it out with Wikipedia not us, Wikipedia obviously thinks it is the flag and as we are on wikipedia that is that. In23065 (talk) 10:33, 9 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

OK then. In23065 (talk) 11:34, 9 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nationalities of contestants[edit]

A lot of the nationalities listed here are wrong. Kinga, for example, might be half polish but she was born here and hence is British.Technohead1980 (talk) 10:03, 12 June 2010 (UTC) Lots of people listed as England or Wales etc but all hold BRITISH nationality. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.219.98.10 (talk) 15:14, 16 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

And, for example Ivana Trump was born in Czechoslovakia (not in Czech Republic as she moved to North America in 70s), but she is more likely American as she's lived over 30 years there.
Some seem to have their birthplace and some their ethnicity, though in List of Big Brother 2005 housemates (UK)#Kinga reads: Kinga Karolczak (born April 1985) is a half Polish, half Kuwaiti, so the Kuwaiti flag is missing there. 82.141.118.151 (talk) 13:14, 18 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Listing of Celebrity Housemates[edit]

Why do people keep re-adding the celebrity housemates when the article is about the regular series which is a separate show to the normal series, do they not know the difference? --MSalmon (talk) 15:43, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

nationalities[edit]

There are some quite odd-seeming nationalities.
BB1 has one from Nepal, BB3 one half English & half Nazi German, BB7 two half Greenlandic. The respective BB articles didn't anything about those. 85.217.40.49 (talk) 20:23, 18 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, sorry, the first one was from BB12. 85.217.40.49 (talk) 20:37, 18 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Could someone revert to version before the November 7, when these oddities were added? 85.217.40.49 (talk) 20:47, 18 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Actually it started on 5 September. Done. –anemoneprojectors– 10:14, 19 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, it went back to August. Unless there's more older stuff! It was all missed - who is watching this page? –anemoneprojectors– 10:19, 19 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Notable housemates[edit]

A few comments, questions and concerns I have about this section:

  • the first winner of Teen Big Brother - there has only even been one, so does that need to be mentioned as the "first" time?
  • the first Muslim to enter - is religion notable? If it is, why only mention the first Muslim? What about nationality or ethnicity, in addition to sexuality, gender identity, disability or age, which are also already mentioned?
  • the first housemate to be fake evicted and return to the house - does Emma and Michelle being voted into the Bedsit not count? The BBC5 article confirms it was a fake eviction: "On Day 15, Emma and Michelle were fake evicted from the House", and they also returned. So why does Charlea get that claim to fame?
  • the first Head of House, the first Power Housemate and the first Killer Nomination - these have only been used each in one series (I think), so why are they notable? Why not other one-off "firsts", like the first housemate given a free pass to the final, or the first housemate forced to make all their nominations face to face?
  • On the subject of Simon Gross being the first male housemate to be evicted, should the article state that it wasn't by a public vote and no man has still been the first evicted by public vote (except in CBB)?
  • Does Nikki Grahame count as the first person to enter the house 4 times - twice in BB7, once in UBB and once in BB16?

Maybe the only teen winner? And no I don't think religion is necessary that could be removed. I don't think Charley should be there either, it should be Emma and Michelle. To be fair are first power housemates/head of house even that notable if it's only been one series? Fair enough if it was carried over. And yes if Simon is in the table it should mention that it wasn't public voted. Not sure about Nikki, would it really count as 4 even though it's twice in BB7? Just my opinions though.
