Updates[edit]

Quick work with the update, next year is there any chance of getting it updated before the count is finished? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.113.237.71 (talk) 13:20, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:James bartel.jpg[edit]

The image Image:James bartel.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

List becomes borked if you try to sort it[edit]

I think the problem is with all the "rowspan" stuff, for when there were multiple winners in a year. Can someone who knows something about tables fix this? Reyk YO! 03:34, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

#[edit]

"Note: # Indicates that medal was awarded retrospectively as a countback rule was enforced until 1980".

But no entries have a "#". Avalon (talk) 06:17, 30 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Done. all fixed now. Thanks for letting us know. The-Pope (talk) 09:18, 30 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Misinformation present in the section about Jobe Watson[edit]

He was never stripped of his Brownlow, this is factually inaccurate. He handed back his Brownlow as a result of accepting that it was tarnished by the supplements scandal, showing more integrity in doing so than Sam Mitchell could ever dream of having. 1.127.106.152 (talk) 11:39, 5 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You are correct. I have edited the wording in the article. See what you think. HiLo48 (talk) 00:13, 6 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect: https://www.afl.com.au/news/58994/afl-commission-statement-on-2012-brownlow-medal the critical phrase is "ruled that Jobe Watson was not eligible" - his handing back was acknowledged, but the title was nonetheless stripped from him. Aspirex (talk) 00:22, 6 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
