Ward maps[edit]

As you may have noticed, I added a ward map for the 42nd ward. However, I think it would be better if such maps were two areas on something like OpenStreetMap, which would make it look nicer technologically and would be more practical for wards where the boundaries have shifted considerably such as the 1st. However, I don't believe I have the necessary skills for such a thing, so would anyone be able to help in that regard? Here are the boundary sources for 1923: http://alookatcook.com/1930/hypermap.htm http://chicagology.com/population/ and 2019: https://www.chicago.gov/city/en/depts/doit/supp_info/ward_maps.html. incorrect information[edit]

Chicago wards are composed of more than just the South,West and North sides. What about the East side? The Far south side, that I see is clearly grouped in with the west side? As a Proud Far South Side, it's a little offensive to be grouped in with the West side. This needs to be updated and more accurate for the public looking to distinguish the wards and their respective sides of the city. 69.47.241.215 (talk) 20:56, 26 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Do note that those are the three traditional divisions of the city, and in any event those were the wards in 1923, so the borders are long obsolete. – John M Wolfson (talk • contribs) 17:29, 27 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
