why does Ruby not work? Chrome and Internet Explorer support it as far as I remember (latter one checked just as of now) and the only browser that hasnt native Ruby support is Firefox and for that we have the noruby annotations in the template (trust me, I created it) that do the rest.

Updating myself, Ruby also can work in Opera and Firefox with a little plugin, which in the end makes most of the currently used browsers more-or-less ruby compatible. and for the rest, there's the fallback
It has been debated before, but currently the Manual of Style says "no" to ruby. Best place to bring the subject up for re-review is in the talk there. Shiroi Hane (talk) 17:58, 28 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
