Tyssem[edit]

I'm not sure which one of Tyssem's parents was Kabyle, please update the listing if you know. Thanks! Oaktree brian 03:10, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pope Gelasius I[edit]

I would like to inquire if there is any documentation on the assertion that Pope Gelasius was actually Kabyle. I have looked myself and found none. Stealthound (talk) 07:32, 8 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I came to this article previously from Pope Gelasius I and searched well for documentation to prove this. I could not find it. The best document I could find (The Three African Popes, which I referenced on his page) did mention that there is some confusion about where he was born, but did not mention his ethnicity. I am not an expert on the Kabyle/Berber people, but I believe that it is a stretch to definitively say that this was his ethnic background. Stealthound (talk) 20:59, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Claude Zidi[edit]

I would add Claude Zidi somehow, the French film director and screenwriter, but there is no category for this. He was born in Paris to parents of Algerian origin, and somewhere I picked up that he's of Kabyle descent. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.197.229.231 (talk) 07:38, 7 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
