What about season leaders?[edit]

So, how about also listing season leaders somewhere? I'm thinking that options might be:

  1. Do nothing. There's already a top-ten season list for each position at Putout.
  2. Make a separate article, List of Major League Baseball season putouts as a catcher leaders or whatever.
  3. Add the season leaders to this article. That'd require a title change, deleting "career" so that it's named "List of Major League Baseball putouts as a catcher leaders" (or "Major League Baseball leaders – catcher putouts" or something).

I'd go with number three, because the articles not too long and why not have the season and career leaders in one article. The two things are closely related. Herostratus (talk) 18:47, 12 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Well looks like you answered your own question with option 1. If your so dead set on having them off the putouts page, then make a separate list. Taffe316 (talk) 18:55, 12 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
What's wrong with adding them here? I'd think that a reasonable number of readers interested in catcher putout leaders (career) would also be interested in catcher putout leaders (season). They are pretty closely related subjects. Putout is not an obvious place to look for catcher putout leaders (season), plus the format of that article does not really support more than ten entries, or a table, or much additional info. And I'm not seeing the upside to having two separate articles -- what is it, in your opinion? Herostratus (talk) 11:16, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
