Paul Gillespie[edit]

Paul Gillespie is especially noted, along with John Miller, for also hitting a homer in his first atbat. Baseball Alamanac discusses this, as do other sources. However it should be noted somehow in this list that this homer was his final regular season atbat, as he subsequently appeared (and went hitless) in the 1945 World Series. Given that players who did hit their final atbat post season are highlighted here, the other route should be as well. Unless others feel that Gillespie shouldn't be included in this list after all - depends on the criteria, I guess. Echoedmyron (talk) 01:54, 7 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
