This article seems to be of the same subject as List of Middle-earth characters. I don't believe both are needed.
I believe characters is a better term than peoples, to reinforce the fact that these are are works of fiction. TheGrimme (talk) 15:18, 13 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
These are two different subjects, while this article lists peoples as in ethnic groups the other one deals with individual characters. De728631 (talk) 18:45, 13 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
There is duplication in this article with List of Middle-earth animals with creatures such as dragons, eagles, giant spiders and horses included. I raised the same issue with regard to Middle-earth peoples, and I propose that these creatures be removed from this article as was done there. UtDicitur (talk) 15:51, 22 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
