Merge proposal[edit]

I propose that the three separate episode lists – Mysteries and Scandals (Season 1), Mysteries and Scandals (Season 2) and Mysteries and Scandals (Season 3) – be merged into this article. Copyright violation?[edit]

I made a few changes to this article recently, toning language from showbiz to encyclopaedia. In the process I found that the three random samples of text I checked were all copied verbatim from www dot tvrage dot com (blocked site, can't link properly). I'm not a great copyvio cop so will do nothing myself; others more familiar with exactly what is permissible might like to take a look. Perhaps best to look at the text before I edited a lot of entries, copy the main text of a few typical entries, and enter the copied text "between quotation marks" into a search engine. (Conceivably the text originated in Wikipedia and was copied elsewhere; I've known copyright violation claims to be due to this.) Pol098 (talk) 20:58, 2 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Good call. I've deleted the episode summaries as copyright violations. You're right that we can't be sure where the text originated – I can't check when the TVRage blurbs were written without logging in to the site – but it's best to err on the side of caution, especially since the blurbs aren't essential to the article (info about the famous figures can be found by following the wikilinks).
