Piping links on team names[edit]

 – Centralized discussion at NBA project talk page.—Bagumba (talk) 04:35, 27 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Especially when we have two different pages for the two different teams, it's a bad idea. Yes, we probably should use redirects for the older teams too. It is a million times easier to change a redirect should a team's history move around than it is to go through and change hundreds of links later. A person clicks on Seattle SuperSonics expecting to read about the Seattle Supersonics, not the Oklahoma City Thunder. See WP:NOTBROKEN for reasons it's a bad idea to pipe for redirects. It's an even worse idea to pipe when we have two separate pages. -Fandraltastic (talk) 02:44, 27 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Recent stats added[edit]

@Spparky: The recent additions duplicate the annual leaders already at List of National Basketball Association season steals leaders. Also, the single-season record list would be more relevant over there than here. I'm also not sure about including the active player leaders, as it seems to border on WP:FANCRUFT. The active leaders, AFAIK, are not really referenced long term in reliable sources.—Bagumba (talk) 01:15, 15 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Move discussion in progress[edit]
