Inconsistencies with actual station articles, missing stations, other stuff[edit]

I've noticed that all (or almost all) of the stations on the list have different distances from Central Station and different opening dates compared to their respective station articles. However, I don't have the time to update every single station to the correct info and I'm not used to editing tables haha. Also, all the stations after letters a and b are missing station codes (are station codes necessary?). Some stations are missing all of the lines that they serve, including Fassifern, Maitland and Goulburn which have their intercity lines stated, but not their regional lines. Also, there are missing stations that are not part of the list, including Kyogle, Tarana, Wangaratta and Seymour and more. Dunmore (Shellharbour) is a closed station, I think it should be removed. Some station names' links link to the town/city instead of the article for the station including Bungendore and Boggabri. Fork99 (talk) 11:29, 9 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Fork99:I can not comment on the distances. I think Wangaratta and Seymour are Victorian stations and hence should not be included. Boggabri railway station was created in 2015 probably after the list was created. I did not check the other one you mentioned. Only this morning in another exercise I found Cobar and Coonamble which are closed and created in recent years did not have the correct links which I fixed. Any closed stations should be moved to the list of closed stations. I am sure there is quite a bit of work to be done in that area. So go ahead and clean it all up as best you can.Fleet Lists (talk) 11:41, 9 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
There is no standard in this article I think, Broadmeadows (which is a Victorian station, not Broadmeadow in Newcastle) is on the list, but Seymour isn’t. Brisbane Roma Street is on the list as well, but Melbourne Southern Cross isn’t. Fork99 (talk) 12:48, 9 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Reading the heading more closely this is a list of NSW Trainlink station and not just New South Wales stations, so the Victorian (and Queensland) stations such as Wangaratta, Seymour and Broadmeadows (with the s) should be included - correcting my earlier reply.Fleet Lists (talk) 22:41, 9 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I have fixed all the links which went to locations, now to go direct to the railway stations concerned. Also instead of deleting Dunmore Shellharbour, I have chanaged it to Shellharbour Junction. Additions still need to be done.Fleet Lists (talk) 03:35, 10 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I just noticed that NSW TrainLink stations that are located in Sydney (like Central and Strathfield) aren’t included. Should they? Fork99 (talk) 10:36, 11 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Good question. I have often wondered about that. Perhaps we should add a comment that stations within the Metropolitan area are listed in the Sydney Trains list, to save duplication (the last three words should not be included).Fleet Lists (talk) 10:58, 11 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
FYI, Shellharbour Junction and Dunmore Stations are in different sites and completely different in appearance, so I have replaced the Dunmore photo with a Shellharbour Junction one. Fork99 (talk) 11:45, 11 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
List of stations to add: Gunnedah, Yass Junction, Wagga Wagga, Henty, The Rock, Wangaratta, Melbourne Southern Cross, Seymour, Queanbeyan, Griffith, Leeton, Narrandera, Junee, Harden, Gunning, Tamworth, Werris Creek, Kootingal, Walcha Road, Uralla, Quirindi, Willow Tree, Murrurundi, Geurie, Wellington. Pretty sure that this is the rest, however there might be more if they have crossed my mind. Also, I agree with adding a comment for metropolitan area. Also, the maps seem a bit odd to me, are there any on Wikimedia that have NSW TrainLink passenger services only, including interstate? Anyway, good night. All stations have been added, however some are still missing images, codes and distances because I was unable to find them. Fork99 (talk) 04:33, 14 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
