Gakuen Datentoku chapters[edit]

i made the chapters in order due to it being in Roman Numerals, because if i left them by stages:I-V or something it would sound like a section, like if it was one chapter, thats why i did it in that form. PLus the last chapter isn't called Stage:XXII, it's called "final Stage" so i couldn't just put Stages:17-final. Anyways....i don't think undue wieght is such a big problem if it looks too large, we could just add a second col.Bread Ninja (talk) 23:16, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Also, the chapters do have subtitles, but haven't had time to look them all up yetBread Ninja (talk) 23:23, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Really, as far as I checked (index, cover) they don't use subtitles. As the last chapter is not a number I simply put away. Besides you actually put Stage 22 in your edit.Tintor2 (talk) 23:29, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Doh, fixed my mistake.Tintor2 (talk) 23:31, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ah then i messed up, but other than that, sometimes the index doesn't use the subtitles until the chapter appears. It happened to me when i was reading Maria Holic.Bread Ninja (talk) 23:32, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ehh...nevermind, the stages were just mistranslated. but still, i think they should be kept, i never really approved of 1-#, #-# style due to it possibly confuse someone being all just one chapter. but what do you think?Bread Ninja (talk) 23:41, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
See the FL List of Tokyo Mew Mew chapters for an example about this.Tintor2 (talk) 16:28, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
i was asking more of a revolutionary change or a discussion, consensus can change though. Anyways, I'll just leave it as is.Bread Ninja (talk) 16:30, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Then that is to ask in the project.Tintor2 (talk) 16:33, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It won't get much attention>Bread Ninja (talk) 16:34, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Neither here with just two users and such types of consensus should not be discussed here.Tintor2 (talk) 16:37, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
ok, I'll put it up on there and see what result we'll get.Bread Ninja (talk)

Conflicting information[edit]

There is a caption under the image of the first graphic novel released by Viz Media stating that it was published in 1988, but in the lead states that these volumes were published between 2004 and 2011. I am hoping that better references than this...

  • "Neon Genesis Evangelion, Vol. 1 [Paperback]". Amazon.com. ASIN 156931294X. {{cite web}}: Check |asin= value (help); Missing or empty |url= (help) (Copied from Template talk:Citation Style documentation)

can be found. If nothing else a hat note indicating that the release dates and ISBNs are for the Action edition should be present for the first series. – Allen4names 05:37, 28 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The first release in japan is 1995 but the english one was in 2004. Dont know where 1998 comes from. Anyways it should be chhanged soon though i think it would be better adding the original japanese cover.Lucia Black (talk) 15:32, 28 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I am sure that Viz released volumes of the series before 2004. See the following reference.
That along with this reference the prior is what convinces me that there was an earlier release. – Allen4names 18:55, 28 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Then we would need to look up every first edition and replace the second edition dates and ISBN.Lucia Black (talk) 19:04, 28 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I cant seem to find information on the first edition and im not familiar with wayback archive sites or any archive sitesLucia Black (talk) 21:38, 28 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I have three links that should be useful. (1 2 3) I may come back tomorrow. In the meantime you can try to Wayback www.j-pop.com. – Allen4names 06:38, 29 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Im not so sure how relevant that is to help. If we can find all the originals and replace them with the second editions in the list AND incorporate it in the lead, it will help more to the article.Lucia Black (talk) 06:44, 29 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I think that Viz released the first seven volumes as tandem editions, a regular edition (left to right) and a collector's edition (right to left). The following list of ISBNs should be checked as I have found one error (Worldcat I think) and there may be others. The ISBN for the "Action" edition should be the third one in each item of this list.

There is one odd ISBN for volume 5 and the ISBNs for volume 6 do not match the pattern so these should be checked more carefully. – Allen4names 19:26, 29 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Split?[edit]

There are like four, if I remember correctly, different manga having chapter lists in this article. Only one of them actually bears the title this article is going by. Shouldn't they be listed separately like any other series that has different manga by different mangaka is handled? I legitimately have not seen any other series have a chapter list include multiple unrelated manga before. Why is this being treated differently than any other franchise has been? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.27.165.241 (talk) 18:50, 6 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure but I tried to fix it and Ryulong reverted it out. Anyways with the single entry, I'll put it up for merge. ChrisGualtieri (talk) 02:48, 1 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Comic Tribute and Detective Diary[edit]

I think both Comic Tribute and Detective Diary should at least be added to the list. The latter may also meet WP:NB especially if another review for it is found.

If the SLJ review has enough weight please consider this a request that the Detective Diary article be created. – Allen4names (contributions) 06:12, 16 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
