Zane[edit]

(Moved from Talk:Zane Buchanan)

Wouldn't this character be named Zane Cramer, since Kelly wasn't married to either Duke or Kevin when he was born. Don't most newborn babies take the last name (married or unwed) of the mother? - The Real One Returns 04:55, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I would think that if the baby's surname is not known, then the article should probably be titled Zane (One Life to Live character) or something along those lines. --Stemonitis 18:09, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Brody Lovett[edit]

Anyone?Jbt1138 (talk) 03:47, 24 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Addition: Brody now seems to be a contract player, and the soap press indicates he may be paired with Jessica, which I think may entitle him to his own full page soon. Or should we wait until the new opening credit sequence is unveiled and see if Mark Lawson is in it?Jbt1138 (talk) 12:54, 14 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think he's already on contract, but that really isn't the point ... until the character becomes particularly significant and there's more to be said about him, I don't see why he needs more than the paragraph he has. As it is, most of the soap char articles fail WP:Notability because they are completely lacking real-world context and references which establish notability, and are just plot summary.— TAnthonyTalk 16:29, 14 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Can you give Brody his own article because he's been on the show for over two years now. 22 April 2010 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Razzfan (talkcontribs) 20:54, 22 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Pictures[edit]

Hey

Would it be possible if I add pictures to Hunter Atwood, Nigel Bartholomew-Smythe, Jonas Chamberlain, Madame Delphina, Renee Divine Buchanan, Kirk Harmon, Tate Harmon, Hugh Hughes, Britney Jennings, Brody Lovett, Henry Mackler, Paige Miller, Alex Olanov, Noelle Ortiz, Lee Ramsey, Claudia Reston, Moe Stubbs, and Carlotta Vega? Because I have pictures of all those cast members. P.J. (talk) 04:45, 13 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There used to be a lot of photos here, but all were removed due to fair use policies. Basically, it was decided that these characters were not "notable" enough to need images (I argued to keep them, but lost the debate). The problem is, these entries contain no "real world" references about their importance or impact.— TAnthonyTalk 05:05, 13 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I hate to say this but that's bullcrap. P.J. (talk) 06:02, 13 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

First of all, no need for the language, it just makes you look bad. Second, it may be annoying but the truth is, we don't need to see what every single character looks like to understand them. If every little thing on Wikipedia had an image, there'd be millions. — TAnthonyTalk 21:15, 13 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think that maybe at the very least characters that are currently involved in major plot lines should have pictures. Brody for example is a major antagonist in the Rex/Gigi plot. But honestly, we are talking about the internet, it's not like we have limited space, pictures would be nice, especially if there are people trying just getting into the show and who might be trying to either, become more familiar with the characters or are interested in looking into the show's past for a better understanding of those that they know of. If they weren't 'important' enough for images why even have this page at all? --75.57.175.207 (talk) 06:10, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's simply a notability issue; these entries are only plot summary, so it's difficult to sell the images as more than decorative. There literally we images for 75% of the characters here, and they were slowly but surely ifd'ed. — TAnthonyTalk 10:46, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Lee Ramsey[edit]

Lee Ramsey's last episode was Princess of Power which aired on June 12, not Tornado Afraid-Oh which aired June 13. Dead bodies don't count, in fact if I remember correctly, they shown like Ramsey's body for a brief second which why count that? His last episode was June 12. P.J. (talk) 17:02, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

For the record, if he appeared in it at all (even dead), they paid him for it, so it would technically count. But it's not worth arguing over, and I certainly discourage any edit-warring over it. — TAnthonyTalk 16:38, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah I'm not gonna edit war over it since I've been blocked for like a week and a half, so lets just leave it at June 12. P.J. (talk) 17:02, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Janet aka Lee aka Carol aka....[edit]

This Janet/Lee thing is a logistical nightmare. What do we call her, just Janet or Lee? Where do we link to? Why isn't the Lee Halpern info in the "Dennisons" section of families and not the Sanders? Help! Jbt1138 (talk) —Preceding undated comment was added at 23:13, 13 October 2008 (UTC).[reply]

I cleaned up the mess; both Janet Ketring and Lee Halpern now redirect to this article, and the entries in the Dennison and Sanders sections are cleaned up. — TAnthonyTalk 16:22, 14 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cain Rogan[edit]

I'd like to get a consensus on adding Cain; most of the scant information on him has been folded into Tina Lord's entry up til now, but he's been so busy this year that it only seems appropriate to add him. Jbt1138 (talk) 08:18, 14 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The thing is, everything he's done lately can be summed up in like three sentences (and is, in the Tina article). I don't have an objection per se, but it's not like he's going to be back as a full-time character. I just hate when two different articles for two different characters have basically identical sections because the characters are so intertwined.
In general I think we all need to get used to more composite articles, not necessarily an individual entry for every one. But I'm also curious what the group thinks on this one. — TAnthonyTalk 16:22, 14 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Stacy[edit]

who thinks stacy morasco should get her own article? she has been around a big storyline and theres enough info i think would make a good or decent page shall we make a vote on stacy? i came here to see everyones opionuon before i went being bold so what do you think? BigPadresDUDE (talk) 23:52, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The character's entire plotline so far is adequately covered here, and articles are usually only split out of other articles when the material becomes too much for the parent article. The "value" or need for an article does not necessarily have anything to do with a character's contract status, length of time on-air, or perceived importance within a series if this notability or importance has not been established by external sources. An individual article on Stacey which consists only of plot summary and no real-world context or references establishing notability would fail WP:Notability and other basic policies, and would only be tagged for deletion. I'd ask that if you have other content you think should be added, you beef up her section in this article first and have editors judge the potential split based on that. However, adding more plot detail is not an acceptable way to expand in this case; what any character article needs is discussion of casting, characterization, impact and other such topics backed up by references from reliable, verifiable magazines, websites, or books. Adam Wilson (The Young and the Restless) is a good example of an article in progress, but Gigi Morasco is not. The Gigi article (like most soap articles, unfortunately) is just a big plot dump, which fails basic article criteria. It should technically be merged here as well, except that I know that there is a lot of potential material out there based on the coverage surrounding Farah Fath's casting and subsequent storylines, etc.— TAnthonyTalk 00:17, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

i tryed my best to find as much casting information on her as i could and that was as best as i could do gonna keep looking and expanding stacys section in order to get her own page and i am new to wikipedia so i messed up the coding can you fix that? BigPadresDUDE (talk) 01:14, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Schuyler Joplin Article?[edit]

I really think that "Schuyler" should have his own page on Wikipedia. He's been through a lot on the show, and is seemingly following the steps of becoming another Mitch Laurence. Who is a major character on the show. The small article he currently has only lists half of the major experiences he went through. And with an article we can make everything fit so the readers can actually learn the entire story of him. I made an article of him once, but it got replaced by the one currently listed in the miscellaneous section. I wasn't really sure why, since I'm still a bit new to Wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.62.138.93 (talk) 03:10, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Merge proposal from Deanna Forbes[edit]

A proposal has been made to merge the above referenced article to the Deanna Forbes section in the One Life to Live miscellaneous characters article. This was a minor character who existed onscreen just over three months from March 23, 2011 to July 19, 2011. A standalone article is not feasible due to a lack of indepth storyline or length of appearance onscreen. Cind.amuse (Cindy) 20:35, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Actually I comepletely agree, hadn't realized that we'd seen the last of Deena. The character really hasn't done enough to have a full article.--Nk3play2 my buzz 16:47, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You've got my full support here, merge them. Alexisfan07 12 August 2011
There need be no discussion - it should be merged ASAP - not a source = not a wikipedia entry any longer.RaintheOne BAM 04:15, 25 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Split by decade?[edit]

Would it make sense and/or is anyone opposed to this article being split into separate articles by decade similar to other minor soap article character lists? Or maybe 1968-79, 80-89, 90-99, 2000-12? I think this might help organize the info and make it more manageable for clean up. Kelly Marie 0812 (talk) 20:13, 30 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm going to start with List of One Life to Live characters (2000s), which will essentially split this long list in half. Kelly Marie 0812 (talk) 12:45, 27 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Pamela Stuart[edit]

Where did the name "Pamela Oliver Stuart" come from is she was born "Pamela Reed", yet as only married to Asa Buchanan and Pete O'Neil. She was once known as the first cited name so is it worth mentioning? Where there other husband's? What is her full name? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.93.216.37 (talk) 23:18, 14 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
