Comments[edit]

With Toronto FC such a young team, we're in the relatively unique position of being able to record a variety of relevant stats and update them as the team grows. Please add anything I've missed, but try and remember to update it in the new season should there be changes.

Good work! Nicely organized!

Got your message re: updating TFC stats...honestly though it took me 20 mins to find this page and I'm still not sure if it's what you were referring to. Btw, I support Arsenal too.

MLS End of Year Awards[edit]

Neither TFC or RBNY can claim an MVP award for the 2011 season. The MLS Honours page lists De Rosario as a DC United player as MVP for 2011. The same official page has TFC with only 1 MVP winner. 1 soccer fan 1 (talk) 03:33, 2 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Do you happen to have a link to that page? Walter Görlitz (talk) 06:42, 2 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. It's now called "MLS History" no longer "MLS Honours". https://www.mlssoccer.com/league/history 1 soccer fan 1 (talk) 14:53, 2 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Try this one instead. https://www.mlssoccer.com/history/honors/awards/year#2016 1 soccer fan 1 (talk) 15:04, 2 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I think their criteria may be a bit more limited, i.e., who was the player playing for at the end of the season. It sounds ridiculous to suggest that his games for TFC + RBNY weren't counted in the MVP reckoning? And honestly, they just made a decision to list 1 club in every instance there.

Anyway, if the consensus is to keep him removed, I can agree with that and maybe settle for a footnote, but then we need to remove DeRo's other 2011 stuff like Best XI - themodelcitizen (talk) 22:35, 14 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Yes that’s the only other one. I’ve removed for now. I think the majority here is to keep removed. Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 22:44, 14 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Vaselineeeeeeee: In this contemporaneous link: https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2011/11/18/dc-uniteds-de-rosario-voted-volkswagen-mls-mvp they say he played 33 games in total. So it's all three clubs. That other website is just because they made a decision to list 1 club per player. - themodelcitizen (talk) 22:45, 14 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It just says he played witt those two other teams as well. But in the list further down it still shows it as just D.C. Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 22:47, 14 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
